Horizon - self-catering Cottage in Portmagee

HORIZON is a spacious and well-kept country house on the WILD ATLANTIC WAY near the small picturesque fishing village of PORTMAGEE. It's friendly atmosphere and the large and bright rooms offer space for up to 8 guests.
The house has an open-plan kitchen with an adjacent dining area and a cozy lounge in a conservatory. Relax with a view of the garden and the chanel between Portmagee and Valentia Island. Two separate living rooms offer peace and comfort with plenty seating furniture in front of a wood burning stove or an open fire place in the second room. There is a total of 4 bedrooms, two of them with an ensuite and one main bathroom.

The house is surrounded by a large garden. It offers spectacular views towards the sound between the mainland and Valentia Island, Bray Head and some Kerry mountains in the background.

It's location on the Wild Atlantic Way offers a perfect starting point for short or extened day trips. Discover beautiful sandy beaches of St.Finian's Bay, Ballinskelligs or Derrynane with its adjecent National Park. The fascinating island of Valentia with its almost deserted cliffs on the north side of the island and the popular Bray Head Walk are only a 5 minutes drive away.
The small village of PORTMAGEE (2km) is the starting point for boat trips to and around the SKELLIGS. There are also small shops, 2 pubs, 2 restaurants and a cafe. Not to forget Kerry's Most Beautiful Cliffs!
In Caherciveen (approx 13km) there are numerous other shops, restaurants, bars and cafes as well as an impressive ring fort from the 6th century. A little further away are the Kells Bay Garden or Killarney National Park.
