located on a hill at the south-western tip of VALENTIA ISLAND in an area
with breathtaking views towards THE SKELLIGS and over DINGLE BAY towards
THE BLASKETS. VALENTIA ISLAND is conected with the mainland by a bridge and as well there is a small car ferry operating between KNIGHTSTOWN and CAHERCIVEEN in the summer months. The island is next to the RING OF KERRY but is comparatively quiet and has retained its typical character of the remote quiet Irish countryside. ST. BRENDAN'S COTTAGE is an ideal location for short strolls and longer walks. There are several walks on the island and the northern shoreline of VALENTIA with its breathtaking cliffs is just at your doorstep. |

| The house on its
large grounds is located in a quiet area. It is designed in a
traditional style as a compact cottage and it sticks out due to its
position high above the sea and its immaculate interior. The lay-out of the house is open-plan: a spacious living-, dining- and kitchen area builds the main part. This is a clever design (see floor plan below) as it produces a pleasant atmosphere. The living spaces are generously divided but still transparent. An ideal solution for a couple or a small family! There are comfortable sofas in front of the insert stove and the dining area is spacious and bright. A large patio door leads onto the patio and into the garden. The generously sized kitchen area with modern kitchen units is well equipped and offers everything if you want to do your own cooking.

With two bedrooms (both en-suite with shower and toilet) the cottage offers plenty of space for 4 people. Bedroom I with a double bed has a door leading onto the patio area and offers breathtaking views south towards the sea and THE SKELLIGS. Bedroom II is furnished with 2 single beds which can be joint as a double bed. There is a utility room with washing machine, dryer and a storage area. A small guest toilet completes the comfortable interior of this house.
