is a small traditional cottage on Valentia
Island. With an open-plan concept it feels cosy, comfortable and spacious for
two people. The house is surrounded by
a large sheltered garden with lots of space and located in the
middle of the island with easy access to the fishing villages of Knightstown and Portmagee. The rugged and breathtaking coastline on the northern side of the island is just around the corner and Valentia is ideal for walking (Bray Head Loop Walk) and cycling. The house of the owners is next door, yet you will enjoy absolute peace and privacy in BOATHOUSE. |

| The building was actually used as a
boathouse but then later transformed into a small guest cottage with
an open-plan layout. Lately, the owner has added a big bay window to
have an even brighter room. The ground floor comprises of a seating area with sofa and chairs in front of a wood-burning stove, a spacious dining table which is standing near the bay window and a simple kitchen unit with all the necessary equipment. There is a small bathroom with shower and toilet. Cottage stairs lead up to a spacious and cosy loft area with a double bed and a sleeper sofa. |
